On April 8, Rescue Mission International (ReMI) paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s first-ever Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability. This historic engagement marked an important moment for youth-led climate action in Ghana.
Our team shared key highlights from our ongoing work, particularly our grassroots campaigns, climate education programs, and community-based adaptation efforts. We also discussed opportunities for collaboration with the Ministry to scale up locally led solutions and ensure indigenous knowledge and rural communities remain central to Ghana’s climate response.
We appreciate the warm reception and the Minister’s openness to dialogue. This meeting reinforced our commitment to supporting inclusive, people-centered climate governance that puts the most vulnerable at the heart of national action. Together, we can drive a more just, sustainable future.
