Today, Rescue Mission International (ReMI) took a bold step by submitting a petition Against the Proposed MPs’ Pension Fund Scheme Funded by Carbon Credit Revenues to the Speaker, Clerk, Majority Leader, and Minority Leader at the Parliament of Ghana.

We firmly oppose the use of carbon credit revenues—which should be dedicated to climate action, environmental sustainability, and community resilience—to fund a pension scheme for Members of Parliament. These funds must prioritize climate-vulnerable communities, reforestation, green entrepreneurship, and green development, not personal benefits. 🌱🚫

The fight for climate justice and accountability continues. We call on all citizens, environmental advocates, and policymakers to stand with us in ensuring carbon funds serve their true purpose.

📢 Join the movement! Let’s protect our environment and demand transparency in climate finance. 🌍🔥
