Biography
Ibrahim Tuzee Abdul-Raheem is a passionate environmentalist, climate advocate, and youth leader with a strong track record of driving sustainability initiatives across Ghana and the African continent. His work spans environmental governance, natural resource management, renewable energy, water and sanitation, and food security. With over a decade of experience in research, policy advocacy, and grassroots mobilization, Ibrahim Tuzee is committed to creating climate-resilient communities and bridging local realities with global development frameworks. Currently serving as the Global Focal Point for the Sustainable Consumption and Production Youth Constituency of the UN Major Group for Children and Youth (UN-MGCY), Ibrahim Tuzee facilitates international engagement between youth stakeholders and UN agencies. In this role, he leads policy input, coordinates regional working groups, and supports youth action on sustainable development. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rescue Mission International (ReMI), a youth-led environmental organization. Through ReMI, he has led campaigns and training on climate-smart agriculture, circular economy, green entrepreneurship, and waste management, with a strong focus on empowering young people and amplifying indigenous knowledge. His academic background includes a pending Master of Philosophy in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance from KNUST, and a BSc in Renewable Natural Resources from the University for Development Studies. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications on sanitation practices, underutilized species, and animal welfare, and has provided consultancy services in environmental governance, climate adaptation, and development leadership. Whether in the field with local communities or in global policy rooms,his approach integrates research, advocacy, and education to build inclusive and sustainable futures.
